Evenglow Inn to host ‘Making Fresh Salsa’
Homemade salsa can be a delicious and nutritious snack. Join us for "Fresh Fare: Making Fresh Salsa" to learn how to make a variety of fresh salsas, including the traditional and untraditional, like barbecue chicken tacos with mango salsa, black bean and corn salsa salad, and peach salsa with homemade cinnamon chips.
This program will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at Evenglow Inn, located next to the Boys and Girls Club at 1303 E. Indiana Ave., Pontiac.
Fresh Fare attendees enjoy tastings of the prepared foods while they are served right to their table. University of Illinois Extension Nutrition and Wellness Educator and Registered Dietitian, Jenna Smith teaches this program. To register and save your seat, call Evenglow Inn at 815-842-9040. There is a $5 recommended donati on for this program.
